Both for achieving record breaking knowledge feed into your mind amd output of same or communication of same to others. Being able to work with others and at the same time having a shortened time based on not needing to resrarch because of having an assistant to do that for u and constant communication to such assistant will speed things up and also strenghen security and team work, it is the best u can do untill humans start to evolve the telepathic ability themselves. It is a form of dumbed down and technological augment to a person using a device and also to take away the lag out of life and work and achievment or research. Eventually it will give rise to implants and other such devices to help bring humans closer to the way the gods communicate using another device called the 'miraya' which involves communication with others yet still using a device made from an acidic ice and other ingredients that then sync with the mind for said purposes bringing humans even closer to unlocking the dna and genes needed to click open the telepathic centres of the brain and body.
